Project Description

Walk-In Pantry Conversion & Laundry Relocation in Overland Park, KS

Project Overview

Phase one of this three-phase home renovation in Overland Park, Kansas, transformed the original laundry room and a small coat closet into a large walk-in pantry. The laundry room moved into the master closet, and several doorways were reframed and relocated to make the new layout fit and align.

Walk-In Pantry Conversion

Combining the former laundry room and coat closet created space for a large walk-in pantry with custom cabinets and a pocket door. The reveal photos show blue-green cabinetry with brass-tone hardware, open wood shelving, light veined countertops, and an undermount sink. Tall storage cabinets and generous drawers provide enclosed storage alongside the open shelves.

Laundry Relocation and Doorway Reconfiguration

The laundry room was relocated into the master closet. The supplied photos show a dedicated tiled appliance alcove with recessed laundry connections beside the wood-floored closet area. Reframing and moving several doors helped the spaces fit together and kept the openings centered. A pocket door with frosted-glass panels provides access to the pantry without a swinging door occupying the opening.
