Project Description

Full Kitchen Remodel in Overland Park, KS

Phase one of this renovation was the walk-in pantry conversion and laundry relocation.

Project Overview

This kitchen was part of a larger home renovation that also included a master bathroom remodel in the same Overland Park home.

KC Handyman completed a full kitchen remodel in Overland Park, Kansas, as phase three of a three-phase project. The work combined a revised kitchen layout with custom cabinet installation, concealed electrical details, water filtration, appliance installation, and finish carpentry.

Work Completed

  • Rerouted electrical and plumbing to accommodate the new kitchen layout.
  • Installed custom under-cabinet lighting and outlet strips to keep the main backsplash clear of outlet interruptions.
  • Installed a reverse-osmosis system with connections to both the refrigerator and the sink.
  • Built and installed a custom stacked 12-inch crown molding treatment above the upper cabinets.
  • Assembled and installed custom cabinets.
  • Installed ventilation ducting for the induction cooking setup.
  • Installed all kitchen appliances.

Design Details

White perimeter cabinetry and a contrasting peninsula define the kitchen, with brass-tone hardware and veined countertops and backsplash. The stacked crown molding finishes the upper cabinets, while under-cabinet lighting illuminates the work surfaces and highlights the backsplash.

Construction Progress

The supplied progress photos document the kitchen after removal of the original cabinetry, installation of new base and wall cabinets, and finishing details. Visible features include white perimeter cabinetry, a contrasting peninsula, decorative cabinet molding, brass-tone hardware, and veined countertops and backsplash.
